Discover the craft of gourmet sausage making in this hands-on masterclass set within the elegant surrounds of historic Bungala House in Yankalilla. This immersive experience is part of Fleurieu Food and Wine's award winning cooking class series and is ideal for anyone who enjoys learning new skills and creating something delicious from scratch.

Guided by Jackie Mazzocato, with guest chefs or master butchers assisting, you will learn the fundamentals of traditional sausage making using premium local ingredients. The recipes include both Australian native flavours and classic sausage styles so you can explore different seasonings. Together you will mix, season and prepare your own batch while learning techniques for perfect flavour balance and consistency. The class is relaxed, fun and suitable for beginners and confident home cooks.

After the hands-on session, guests gather at the long table inside Bungala House for a generous shared lunch featuring the sausages cooked by you on the hibachi, served with complementary sides and house made accompaniments.
