One of the region's top attractions is the world-famous McLaren Vale wine region, boasting more than 70 cellar doors, paired with exceptional restaurants and family-friendly cafes.

Fleurieu Peninsula beaches have a way of slowing you down. At Rapid Bay, kids scramble over rocks while you peek into tide pools. Surfers carve gentle waves at Moana, while Port Willunga’s golden cliffs catch the sun as sand crabs dart in and out. Snorkel, dive, SUP, play beach cricket or just laze about — along 140 kilometres of coastline, there’s a pristine beach to suit every pace.

Fleurieu Peninsula's Parks, Trails & Lookouts

Beyond the cellar doors and sandy shores, a network of trails connects the Fleurieu Peninsula. Lace up your boots for clifftop treks in places like Deep Creek, or pedal through the sun-dappled hills that frame the region’s famous vineyards. Here, you can hike and cycle trails that wind from tangled bushland to rugged lookouts where the Southern Ocean meets the sky.

Beyond the parks, this region is rich with local character. One morning you’re meeting the residents at Urimbirra Wildlife Park or visiting a working farm; the next, you’re seeing the coast from a vintage biplane or diving the HMAS Hobart. They are great spots to visit if you’re taking on the region’s Route 31 Coastal Drive — 31 kilometres of clifftop views, rolling vines and seaside towns.
