The Shearers Quarters are located at the National Park Head Quarters at Balcanoona. Originally built to house the shearing teams for Balcanoona Station.

The park forms part of the traditional country of the Adnyamathanha people and is rich with cultural significance. The spectacular terrain in Vulkathunha-Gammon Ranges National Park can be explored by the many hiking trails and via the 4WD tracks that lead you deep into the heart of the rugged landscape. The park is a haven for many rare and endangered plants and animals.
