Attraction
Barossa Co-op is Australia's largest and longest standing retail co-operative, proudly established in the heart of Barossa. What began in 1944 as a single general store on the main street of Nuriootpa has grown into a vibrant hub of nine retail businesses, all located within the exceptional regional shopping precinct, Barossa Central.

From humble beginnings, Barossa Co-op's community has grown too. In 1945 there were 771 members, today more than 21,000 members are part of this thriving local network.

By shopping with Barossa Co-op, thousands of locals help drive the region's economic prosperity, supporting local businesses that, in turn, reinvest in the community.

Acknowledgement of Country

Standing on Kaurna Country, the South Australian Tourism Commission recognises the uniquely diverse Aboriginal communities across the state.

We value the knowledge Aboriginal people hold of Country and culture and are committed to growing genuine relationships with Traditional Custodians.

We will continue our journey of reconciliation and support Aboriginal tourism operators and communities to tell their own stories and share their culture with the world.
