Moana Beach is a favourite of holidaying families, choosing to stay at the nearby tourist park, in holiday homes, bed and breakfasts or caravans.

The foreshore is dominated by towering Norfolk Island pines, with the area popular for fishing, snorkeling, swimming and coastal walks.

Moana Beach is one of the few places in the state where cars can be driven onto the sand, with a beach pass, which is always popular on a hot summer's day. The beach's swimming areas are patrolled by surf lifesavers November to March, making it a good choice for families.

The nearby Deep Blue Café and Moana Surf Life Saving Club offer casual refreshments daily.
