Quondong is a working merino sheep station. Since 2020, after the driest year on record we took this opportunity to take a new direction, regarding our merino flock and our land management. We are no longer mulesing sheep, which is considered extremely fool hardy but with a change in the genetics to Soft Rolling Skinned merinos we hope to be vindicated. We are also the custodians of a very beautiful and fragile land, on which we must lightly step. We are therefore embracing “Ecologically Sustainable Rangelands Management” practices. Stop, look, and experience this vast wilderness. There are few places like this left in the world.
