Nestled on the tranquil banks of the Murray River, about an hour and forty minutes northeast of Adelaide, Roonka River Adventure Park offers a range of accommodation and water-based activities.

Roonka welcomes school and large groups mid-week (during school terms) and is open for everyone to enjoy on weekends and during South Australia Government school holidays. Bookings essential!

With bunkhouse accommodation (sleeping up to 58 people), powered and unpowered camping, glamping bell tents, caravan sites, plus The Lodge, a comfortable two bedroom retreat, boat and watercraft launching facility, private billabong, a range of recreational activities and kitchens, Roonka is ideal for family weekend escapes, school camps, cultural and community groups, sporting and social clubs, and team building retreats... even family reunions, weddings and other milestone celebrations!

All stays at Roonka include access to facilities and activities including the playground, waterslide into the river, flying fox over the billabong, sit-on-top watercraft on the billabong and life jackets (kayaks and canoes available for hire). Guests have shared access to seasonal campfire circles, shelter and shade areas, amenities block, camp kitchen and barbeques. A combined kitchen, dining and recreation facility can be booked for exclusive use.

Roonka is an affordable and family-friendly base from which to explore the many and varied attractions of the Riverland.

Owned and managed by Scouts SA since 1972, profits support youth development initiatives.
