Since opening in October 2018, Slate Restaurant at Pikes has quickly established itself as one of the Clare Valley's premier dining destinations.

Recognised by Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine as the region's Cellar Door with Best Food in both 2020 and 2022, and awarded a prestigious Chef Hat by the Australian Good Food Guide for seven consecutive years (2020–2026), Slate proudly showcases the vibrant food and wine culture of regional South Australia.

Led by Head Chef Louis Ritchie, the restaurant presents a refined Modern Australian menu with a strong focus on local, seasonal produce. Many dishes are inspired by harvests from Slate's own kitchen garden, celebrating the freshest ingredients the Clare Valley has to offer.

Complementing the food is an extensive wine list featuring the full range of estate-grown wines from Pikes Wines, including rare reserve and museum selections from the private cellar. Guests can also enjoy two carefully curated wine pairing options, alongside a selection of fresh beers from Pikes Beer Company, brewed on site.

In addition to its celebrated dining experience, Slate is also a sought-after venue for weddings and private functions, offering a beautiful regional setting paired with exceptional food, wine and warm hospitality.

With its relaxed elegance and beautiful vineyard surrounds, Slate Restaurant at Pikes invites guests to slow down and savour the flavours of the Clare Valley.
