Clare Valley
Station Store, Bungaree Station
Clare Valley
The historic Station Store at Bungaree is largely unchanged since the 1840s, when the property was the most northern settlement in South Australia. Not only did staff once collect their "rations" from the Store, but explorers also stopped in to replenish their expedition supplies.
Today the building has been carefully restored as a farm shop, where visitors can purchase local produce from the farm (including Bungaree merino lamb, honey and orchard produce) and wider Clare Valley region, or simply enjoy an espresso coffee and admire the goods and chattels displayed from a bygone era. Accommodation and a range of tours are also available.
