Stretching from Gawler to Angaston, The Barossa Trail is a spectacular 40-kilometre sealed cycling and walking path that weaves through South Australia's most iconic wine region.
Suitable for all fitness levels, the trail connects a series of charming towns—Gawler, Lyndoch, Rowland Flat, Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston—offering a unique, immersive way to experience the Barossa's renowned food, wine, history and hospitality.

Whether you're cycling the entire length or enjoying a short section, the trail delivers breathtaking vineyard views, rolling hills, and frequent stops to indulge in cellar doors, cafes, and local produce. With interpretive signage, gentle gradients and dedicated crossings, it's perfect for families, leisure cyclists, e-bike riders, and walkers alike.

The trail links seamlessly with local attractions, parks and picnic areas, and is accessible year-round. Bike hire is available in Gawler, Tanunda and Nuriootpa and public toilets; water stations and rest areas are dotted along the route.
