Wagner's Rose Nursery welcomes all who would like to walk through the nursery to see their roses growing and flowering in the field, especially from January to April, and maybe even take home a few rose plants.

Wagner's Rose Nursery is one of the largest and longest-running family-owned rose nurseries in Australia, operating for over 70 years.

Located in Kalangadoo on a 50-hectare property in the lower South-East of South Australia, Wagner's grows over 800 different varieties of roses.

The Nursery was started in the ‘50s in Payneham, Adelaide. Brian Wagner took over the family business in the early ‘80s and grew roses at McLaren Vale for 15 years.

In the early ‘90s, water restrictions were introduced in McLaren Vale, forcing Brian out of the area. After four years of looking for the right place for his Nursery, he found a very good property in Kalangadoo, in the South East of South Australia, with much more water and much better quality soil.

In 2003 Brian met Benedetta Rusconi, an Italian photojournalist who brought her photography and communication skills to the business. Together they have built the business up to be one of the largest growers of roses in Australia; their wholesale outlet supplies nurseries, councils and garden centres all over the country, and their online retail outlet is growing significantly every year.
