Nestled 27 km from Minlaton along Spencer Highway (turn left onto Wauraltee Road, then left onto Wauraltee Beach Road), Wauraltee Campground offers a spacious, serene escape surrounded by vegetation and sand dunes. The level sites are thoughtfully tucked into the landscape, providing a peaceful setting for campers.
Important: The dunes are a fragile ecosystem, so visitors must stay in designated areas only. A toilet is provided, but self-contained camping is strongly recommended. Toileting in the dunes is strictly prohibited to protect this delicate environment.
For waste disposal, the nearest bin bank and dump point are at Minlaton Oval. Minlaton itself offers a range of facilities, including a supermarket, pharmacy, hotel, petrol station, police station, ATMs, shops, skate park, playground, and Visitor Information Outlet.
Note: Wauraltee Beach (nearby) is not part of the campground—it is Crown land with separate rules. Do not camp on the beach without first checking current regulations. Enjoy a tranquil stay while respecting the natural surroundings!
