WHAT’S ON THIS MONTH IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA

South Australians love to host — and you’re all invited. Every week, all year round, you’ll find somewhere to come together, meet locals and celebrate what’s made here. 

This month, it’s all about the table, with Gutsy Kangaroo Island serving up warming feasts and the kind of hospitality that makes you want to stay a little longer, and the Parachilna Outback Beer Fest pairing regional brews with a stacked country music lineup on the edge of the Flinders Ranges. Then, swap the feast for Cuttlefest, which throws a proper party — markets, art, talks and activities all in celebration of one of nature's most spectacular gatherings. 

Winter here means art takes over — blockbuster galleries and studios thrown open across the state. There are fifty-seven masterpieces landing at AGSA's Monet to Matisse: Defying Tradition and art popping up everywhere for SALA Festival.

Check out what wine, beer and gin events are on in South Australia this month. Make a weekend of it by exploring our famed wine regions, that play host to some of the best taste explorations on offer in Australia, or nestle in for a session at the many local breweries and distilleries punctuated across the state.

Best of the Adelaide Fringe 2026

The Adelaide Fringe is that one month a year when the city collectively forgets its bedtime. The nights are warmer and there’s that fizzy feeling in your chest, like anything could happen. You might follow the sound of a saxophone down Frome Street and find a crowd gathered around a sequin-clad busker. An hour later, you’re wedged into a Gluttony pop-up tent, laughter spilling out at the seams. These are the Adelaide Fringe events keeping the city up late.
